Returning to Church
Beginning next weekend, (22nd / 23rd) the
Feast of Pentecost, under the direction of Bishop Weisenburger and the Pima County Health Department, we will be implementing the following changes that bring us back to normal celebration of Eucharist at MHT
for all who are fully vaccinated. All these changes follow CDC guidance.
Per the request of the bishop, and in order to care for our members who still are not vaccinated or for those who are still hesitant to attend a crowded liturgy, one mass (5:30 pm on Saturday) will continue to follow strict Covid protocols.
Changes at Masses beginning on Pentecost.
• Reservations will no longer be required for attendance at mass
• Masks will be optional at all but one mass. (See Schedule below)
• Music group and singing will resume
• Social distancing will be dispensed at all but one mass. (See Schedule below)
Revised Mass Schedule beginning on the Feast of Pentecost
Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd
4 pm Mass - No masks / No social distancing. Masks optional.
5:30 Covid 19 Protocol Mass: Required Masks & Social Distancing
(6 pm Saturday mass changed to 5:30pm)
7:30 am Mass - No masks / No social distancing. Masks optional.
9:00 am Mass - No masks / No social distancing. Masks optional.
11:00 am Mass - No masks / No social distancing. Masks optional.
Except for the 5:30 pm mass, masks will be optional.
Some people will opt to celebrate without masks while some of our people will want to continue to wear mask until they feel more comfortable.
We are all in different places with mask usage so we must respect where everyone is at concerning the use of masks. If you are not vaccinated yet for Covid we encourage you to protect yourself and attend our 5:30 pm mass that will still follow the protocols of safety. We also encourage you to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
Vaccines will be available here at MHT next Sunday starting at the 11 am mass until 2pm. Followup 2nd shot will be June 20th.
