May Crowning is a traditional Roman Catholic ritual held during the month of May. It is a solemn procession at the close of the procession a statue of the Blessed Virgin is crowned with a garland or crown of flowers honoring Mary as “the Queen of May.” The queen symbol was attributed to Mary because she was a perfect follower of Christ, who is the absolute “crown” of creation. She is the Mother of the Son of God, who is the messianic King. Mary is the Mother of Christ.

Thank you Father Tom and Deacon Ken! On April 1st 2022 (No Fooling) Father Tom and Deacon Ken set off on a mission of flying new pajamas and cuddle pillows for very needy children in a shelter in Yuma. The mission was accomplished on behalf of the Angel Heart Pajama Project! The Yuma Team working with the children were very grateful for the support. The pajamas and pillows will bring a big smile to the faces of many children. If you would like more information about Angel Heart please contact Patti Lopez. Call the MHT Office.

September 3, 2021 Dear Pastors and Pastoral Administrators, As you are aware, our brothers and sisters in Haiti are experiencing catastrophic and devastating suffering from the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that hit them on August 14th. Cardinal Chibly Langlois of Les Cayes, who was injured in the collapse of his residence where a priest and two employees were killed, reports that 633 churches, chapels, rectories, health centers and schools were destroyed or damaged. We can help them rebuild!

June 4, 2021 As of July 1, 2021, the general dispensation from the Sunday Mass obligation for the general public will cease. However, the dispensation from the Sunday Mass obligation remains in place for those at serious medical risk. Serious medical risk refers primarily to those with a chronic health condition, those providing direct care for the vulnerably ill, or those with a compromised immune system or other health condition that leaves them unable to be vaccinated.
