Moving to a Better Future – One Arm at a Time As we move forward, I have realized how much we have changed for the better in one year. Last year at this time we were still on total lockdown. No public masses, no public communion and only outdoor confessions. We barely left our houses out of fear of the pandemic. How much has changed since that time. Today we have been informed by Bishop Weisenburger that regular unrestricted masses will begin on the Feast of Pentecost. (read more)

Returning to Church Beginning next weekend, (22nd / 23rd) the Feast of Pentecost, under the direction of Bishop Weisenburger and the Pima County Health Department, we will be implementing the following changes that bring us back to normal celebration of Eucharist at MHT for all who are fully vaccinated. In a few days we will enter the sacred season of Lent with the celebration of Ash Wednesday. For all of us this is a sacred time of reflection and celebration of God’s constant goodness to us. Dear Friends, I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of your for your wonderful support of the parish during the Christmas season. It has been a profound blessing to the parish.

This will alter our mass schedule as follows.  We will continue to celebrate with the following schedule: 3 pm on Saturday,           9 am on Sunday 1 pm on Sunday.   The Sunday 3 pm mass will be suspended at this time until mid February.

Dear friends and fellow parishioners, It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that due to a dramatic deterioration of the situation with the Covid-19 pandemic we will be returning to limited outside masses starting this weekend. Sadly, we are now at a rate of infection that surpasses the situation we found ourselves in July which makes indoor formal assemblies an increased risk to the community. So, what does this mean? I am canceling indoor masses starting this weekend and continuing for the next 3 to 4 weekends. ( click the link to read the whole letter and see the NEW mass times.)

This year, we won’t be gathering together at the parish but we will gather virtually and we’ll still pray, sing, light our prayer votives and remember. We’ll remember our loved ones and those in our country and all over the world who’ve been victims of Covid19. So, please join our virtual Dia de los Muertos Service anytime on Monday, November 2nd . Dear Friends, We have been through a lot during these past few months. We have struggled to make sense of this pandemic while trying to protect each other and our families. On October 3rd we will finally begin phase 2 of a three-phase process of reopening masses at Most Holy Trinity. The decision on starting phase 2, as with phase 1 was made in close coordination with Bishop Weisenburger and in compliance with the Center of Disease Control (CDC) standards. The protocols that I am outlining to you for our parish is a result of this coordination and consultation. Based on what we know, phase 2 will formalize our move back into the church for worship.

Centering Prayer is sitting together in silence, opening ourselves up to God in the present moment…it’s that simple. There are no requirements or expectations beyond a desire to experience God. Our Centering Prayer group is meeting on Monday evenings at 7:15 PM, at the Labyrinth, for 20 minutes of quiet contemplation under the night sky. All are welcome!

Dear Friends, We have been struggling for a long time to maintain community and worship at our church. For the past few months, we have celebrated masses outside as well as offer online masses with communion being offered on Sundays. You have been amazing in your flexibility and responsible behavior during this critical time. You have also saved lives with your sacrifice and discipline. For that I congratulate you. After a number of weeks of good news on the Covid-19 front we are now ready to make our next move toward normalcy.

Essentially, Centering Prayer is sitting together in silence, opening ourselves up to God in the present moment…it’s that simple. There are no other requirements or expectations beyond 20 minutes of silent contemplation, once a week as a group, and individually during the week as you are able.
